His Face Burned Like a Brand

New bird I'd never seen before at the casement window, scrabbling to get in. Small, tiny, greenish, mottled wings and a bright orange crest. Survey says "orange crested warbler", and that they move through here in the spring and fall along a migration route. It's pecking seed off the ground under our bird feeder on its way to up north.

Very bright orange crest. In full mating form, no doubt.
