Slap Me With a Splintered Ruler

it's -> its
who's -> whose
bea^h^hurau^h^heau -> bureau
eachother -> each other
focussed -> focused

I know they're wrong. I've trained myself to spot them. I STILL can't type them correctly on the first go.

First: Love the Ruprecht userpic!

Second: I have my problem words, too. Like embarrassed, and harassment. Both of which I usually get wrong on the first go.

In my latest short story, I also discovered that I want to put two Rs in sheriff. Consistently.

Yes, I want to spell sheriff with two Rs, too. And occur with two Rs as well.

I get that with names, too. Sometimes it's just plain weird. Like how I'm always confusing Jennifer and Rebecca because of the similar letter-count spread.

I guess it gives proof to the idea that we read by impression, not by spelling.

I had a problem once with a story that had two characters named Julian and Lucien. Which look nothing alike, but sound alike in my head...

Isn't it weird the way the brain works? Or doesn't, sometimes?

You say Ashiya, I say Asamiya...
