Divide Your Cultured Pearls in Haste

It's past 6. Are they gone yet?

But sr'sly. What a wonderful day for the world to end. The apple tree is COATED in white blossoms. We went to the market for the first time this year and bought GREENS, including a huge mass of mustard greens and mixed mesclum.

We spent the afternoon prepping soil and planting, and in Cara Sposa's case, falling asleep in the sun. I ache all over, but it's all muscle, NOT joint pain. And I'm making a dinner for us of steam-broiled jerusalem artichokes, grass-fed ribeye steak, and pan-seared asparagus*. And we're having Cuba Libras beforehand with key limes instead of lime juice.

*From the BEST southern cookbook I done ever used. No, I know some people think it's derivative and nouveau, but there's bones in the soil under this book. Really: http://www.amazon.com/Gift-Southern-Cooking-Revelations-American/dp/0375400354

ETA: And yes, msolursh, it DOES have candied bacon in it.

Love it or leave it, I say. And the sooner the better.

That's what we were saying - perfect weather for rapture. My mom said, "Maybe we all got raptured, maybe this is heaven."

I am pretty sure I did not get raptured. I have high hopes that the disagreeable fundies did, though, and I just failed to notice.
