Dang. And here I was, only waiting until payday to go out and buy a copy. :)

Much appreciated.

Is it only Kindle version? Is there a way to get it as a PDF?

(Says she who has only a desktop computer--no laptop, no Kindle, no smartphone.)

BTW I was looking over the poem of mine and wincing. I can do better now.

Well, I don't have a Kindle either. So I use a downloadable app.

In addition to gushing all over LJ about your breathtaking story, I've just now sent you two emails. Since yours to me went to spam that one time, I'm now fearful about the same happening in reverse--check your spam filter!

Oh, my. I don't know what to say. I got back from a morning full of gym and chores to find your emails.

Then Cara Sposa had to tell me to quit hiding behind the file cabinet.

I'm stunned. And very pleased you liked it so much.

Thank you.

Yeah, sorry--I went over the top maybe, but I *do* that when I like things :-P

Oh, I don't know. I like the antique feel to it, which I think is appropriate to the subject and context.

I just grabbed a copy for my phone, after remembering I could indeed do that rather than simply cursing my lack of Kindle. I look forward to reading it!

Thanks for giving it a read. I hope you like it. BTW, I never told you how much I liked Daniel. I ran across it when I was redoing the ChiZine site. Good stuff!

I just started reading it, and I'm enjoying it so far. In particular, I'm kinda in love with this line "...I dream of the girl that is my distant hometown...". Lovely, evocative, very nicely done!

By 'Daniel', do you mean 'Matthew'? :) I'm glad you liked it!

Yes... Durr.... Why did I think Daniel?

Thanks -- You can still visit the town of Chalcis/Khalkis, on Euboea. To research the story, I spent some time with Google Maps and a satellite photo trying to track down the river that she came from, i.e. as a child of Asopus and Metope. It really has "turned inward" and no longer empties into the sea. So I added that bit about how Asopus and Metope chose to do that in order to cut themselves off from Poseidon's realm.
