Moore's law in action: The first replacement hard drive I ever bought was $329, and was 40MB. Today, I bought a 2TB replacement drive for $109.

ETA: Which means a 1.5 Trillion percent increase in byte-buying power, if my head-math is right.

ETA: I didn't believe it possible, but an equivalent HD I bought in 1992 can still be bought. For about 1/8 of the original price.
