In further tongue-in-cheek news: My good friend arwensouth, who is well known for her friendly-fatalistic approach to her OCD, which, by the way, makes her an excellent proofreader... Well, she posted a link to this article about cooking lentils.

Well, Cara Sposa is also... ahem... well-known for "attention to detail" and "passionate about everything being in its place"... ahem, yes, indeed. She loved it in a healthy self-depreciating way.

So she sent it off to a half-dozen friends and collegues who all know her well and have worked with her in the past and....

Fearful Silence. You could almost hear the eyes looking askance.

Then a few answers trickled in like "I'm not fond of lentils, but I guess I don't know how to prepare them properly," or "this is serious cookery. I'll pass."

"Oh, my God," says Cara Sposa, laughing. "They seriously think I'm this crazy!"

Oh Barry, this really did make me laugh out loud with loud, loud laughter. In fact, i'm still laughing now :D

I really liked the recommendation of a spectrophotometer, too.

LOL! Now, compare that to the response from my friends, several of whom re-posted the link within minutes, and one of whom replied with a story about his experience working for a company that sorted beans.

I think Cara Sposa and I would get along just fine. :)
