Finished Pythia at last. I'm finally satisfied with how it turns out. Cara Sposa's take on it: "You don't ever really know what's going on, but it's good. Very sad, though."

I'm just glad to get it out of my head before going on vacation. It would have come along like a pebble in the shoe otherwise. Note that the monthly cycle went past again, this time very light. I think I'm catching it now. Must stay away from depressants during those few days, but that's probably good advice anyway.

So I'll post it for crit, then go pack. See y'all in nine days or so!

Congrats on finishing Pythia and on sending out a short. You, at least, are living by the Heinlein rules. Wish I could say the same. Hope to meet up with you again sometime in the real world. Let me know if you're ever doing another SF con in Toronto. I'm thinking of going to the brand new one.

Re: Congrats
Doug mentioned he'd be there, too, and it makes sense. I've got it on my calendar, but I wasn't expecting to be able to attend. I enjoyed Polaris last year, but it was also my first con. Decisions clearly must be made.

Thanks for the congrats. I wish I were able to spend more time writing lately, especially on the rewrite of Pythia while it's still on the forge.

Work has been picking up, and I can't afford not to take what's offered at this point. Maybe if it forces me to miss Polaris, I can justify going.
