I am making candied citron for general purpose in the X-mas season ahead. Citron is not (always) candied citrus. Sometimes it the candied rind of an exciting "Melon Melon Melon":



I am enraptured by her seeds. Very red, armoured, and cetacean:



See them surface! If you get too near, they will kick you to the devil*

Ah, but even here you must hunt the wily citron-melon. Close, in the storm it comes, at the edge of winter. And then, OH, so brief a window.
