And these are particularly wicked. I still don't have a pair of gloves strong enough to resist them. Even the leather ones. Though they do come in handy for keeping the squirrels out of the vegetable pots.

Is it Rosa multiflora (the wild rose with the many tiny white flowers)? That stuff will SHRED you.

That seems an accurate description, yes. It sort of came with the house, and we've been tending it for the past nine years. Generally from a safe distance. It has actually ruined two bicycle tires in that time.

Next to it is a pink rose of similar small flowers, and if you can believe it, even MORE thorns. It's practically solid with them! Luckily, they don't have the ability to pierce brick and concrete, but they do LOOK vicious.
