Poster by Enis Selimović, made during the siege.

For years, I kept a bottle of champagne aside. I'd told a friend-and-colleague that when Mladić was finally arrested, I'd open it up and we'd have a small celebration of our own. It never got opened. If I still had it, it would be flat vinegar by now.

But drinking it now, in that condition, would be appropriate. Maybe as a champagne cocktail. With a double dose of bitters, hold the sugar.

Thanks. I'll have to admit it's doing a job of sticking a stick into the mud and swirling. Not happy memories. At all.

I can't believe that all happened 15 years ago. What a horrible time. I hope they make him pay.

Yep. It feels like yesterday, sometimes.

But I can't imagine what would be payment enough. Well, I can. But I'd be rightfully jailed for thinking those thoughts.
